Vetiveryl Acetate is a fraction of vetiver oil sourced from Indian grass roots, which undergoes an acetylation process with acetic acid to extract the harsh, leathery elements and produce a refined and sophisticated scent. According to fragrance expert Geza Schoen, this process also enhances the citrus note of grapefruit in vetiver, resulting in a stronger, bitter-fresh top note.
